Digital Photos with the Nikon D2x at the Palo Alto Baylands

Here are some photos from the first few days with the Nikon D2x camera. The original images are huge (4288 x 2848) so all the images on this page are cropped or at reduced resolution. To show the full resolution capabilities, I've cropped just the head of one of the egrets and if you click on that thumbnail you'll get the full resolution of a portion of the entire shot.
All the images were taken with one of three lenses: the 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6 D VR (hand-held), the 200-400mm f/4 G VR (on a tripod) or the 70-200mm f/2.8 VR (hand-held), all by Nikon.
Click on any of the thumbnails for the full-sized image.
